CCCF's Mission
The mission of The Cranberry Community Cancer Foundation
(CCCF) is to generate funds for the support of medical research on the
prevention, treatment and control of cancer, and for the promotion of improved
patient care for cancer victims.
Cancer touches too many lives. It is a devastating
collection of more than 150 diseases characterized by the uncontrolled growth
and spread of abnormal cells, which if left unchecked can result in death.
Everyone is at risk of developing cancer. On the average, one in two males and
one in three females will develop cancer over his or her lifetimes. And for
every person that has cancer, there are countless others affected by the pain
of their co-worker, friend, family member, or loved one.
To stop the epidemic of cancer, CCCF advocates for new and
innovative research methods to seek better ways to prevent and treat the
disease.
CCCF’s team of medical advisors is uniquely situated to
adjudge the merits and potential benefits of most cancer research programs.
The staff of CCCF invites you to learn more about cancer
impact on society and how CCCF is working to stop cancer’s devastating effects.
